While trekking around and photographing the amazing architecture and narrow streets of Toulouse, France, frequent stops for rest, relaxation, and boulangerie picnics in the city's many gardens is not only needed, but adds an additional degree of enjoyment and appreciation of what Toulouse has to offer its residents and visitors.
Fortunately these gardens and parks are plentiful, from the expansive Jardin des Plantes — with swans and ducks lazily swimming in a pond, roaming peacocks and chickens, and games and rides for children to enjoy — to the tranquil Jardins Royal (complete with a camera-shy tai chi practitioner), and many other spots, both small and large, for the wandering-weary or nature-lover to enjoy.
